In search of constantly new experiences, we often overlook places that impress with their consistency and quality. Nestled near Friedrichstrasse underground and railway station, Windhorst Bar is a well-established watering hole and one of my favourite bars in Berlin. Since 1999, Windhorst has been serving up fine cocktails that play with homemade ingredients, embodying creativity and hospitality. Crafted by owner Günter Windhorst, the drinks are subtly balanced and innovative, reflecting his passion for sustainability and quality. But it’s not just about the drinks – it’s the warm welcome and genuine connection between host and guest that sets Windhorst apart. Günter has dedicated a drink to me in his own recipe book, a riff on the Brandy Alexander. This is a tremendous honor for me, and I am deeply grateful. It’s not just a cocktail; it’s a symbol of our friendship, crafted with care and shared with love. I am truly touched by his gesture, and it fills me with immense joy and appreciation.
