Crafts Spirit Festival & Salut Bar
It seemed calm the last week on my blog, but I was actually busy and had long nights. In addition to my daily working routine I was working on the relaunch of my blog which was more time consuming than expected. Nevertheless I had been to the Crafts Spirits Festival as last year as well. It is a cosy little fair where you can taste the spirits and have nice chats, so very pleasant atmosphere. I was woved by the Wacholdergeist (Pure Juniper) of Nicolas Kröger with 73.8% vol. The fresh Juniper is processed and the taste is light and lemonish. That’s why the bottle on the picture is now mine 🙂
Beside that I met the guys of Birds whose “Weissbrand” I had the week before in one of the Chugs in The Chug Club (Hamburg). They offer the “Rosé” drink, a creation of red wine syrup, lemon and soda. Currently more and more spirits are launched on the market that are no Gin. After all those samples of spirits and tiny cocktails my body called for a strengthening meal. Meat would do the right job and we headed on to a restaurant called „To Beef or Not to Beef“. After a starter and a very nice burger we went further down the street to stop at the door of the Salut! Bar. I was accompanied by the guy I got to know on a past adventure in the Galander Bar. He opened the door of the bar with his own key. That is a good idea for regulars and also impressing by the way. Anyway it was a good idea to end this trip in this nice bar. The „Hanky Panky“ is a reason to return as well as the distance to my home and I ended up asking myself why I do not come more often.
