My private diary of the world’s best bars.
High spirits, niche spots & pure craft.
Honesty over Hype.
Request to join my adventure. Read my reviews:
Some bars become favourites. Others become somethi Some bars become favourites. Others become something more. @bar.prep in Gyeongju is one of those places for me. A comfortable counter overlooking an ancient tomb paired with thoughtful, beautifully balanced drinks. But what stays with me most is the strong female energy, the warmth, the teamwork and the conversations that pick up where we left off. I don’t write bar reviews. I write love letters to bars and the people who make them special. And Prep is a very personal one. Come along for a sip or two. Sometimes the quietest bars leave the strongest im Sometimes the quietest bars leave the strongest impression. Bar Sozi in Daegu surprised me with its serene atmosphere and thoughtful tea-inspired cocktails. A beautiful reminder that a bar concept is more than what’s in the glass. It’s about how a place makes you feel. More in my K-Pour Chronicles on barstalker.de 🇰🇷 #seriousbarstalking #DaeguBars #TeaCocktails #koreanbarscene
Some bars build their identity around elaborate co Some bars build their identity around elaborate concepts. Others simply know exactly what they want to be. At @bar_soodam in Daegu, it’s about whisky, classic drinks, a Japanese-inspired atmosphere and calm, professional hospitality. Nothing needs to shout for attention. And perhaps that’s the point. A few thoughts from my visit to Soodam — and more from my Korean bar journey — now on Barstalker. 🇰🇷 Read the full story on barstalker.de Thank you @bartenderkhai for the warm welcome. . . #seriousbarstalking #Daegu #DaeguBars #ClassicCocktails #whiskybar
Back in Daegu, back at Bar Sisu. Some bars you vis Back in Daegu, back at Bar Sisu. Some bars you visit once. Others become a reason to return. @bar_sisu was already one of those places for me — so of course, this is where my second Daegu bar adventure had to begin. An old favourite, new discoveries, and a city I’ve grown unexpectedly fond of. From Busan, the K-Pour Chronicles continue to Ulsa From Busan, the K-Pour Chronicles continue to Ulsan — a city of shipyards, Hyundai, whales… and a small bar. @bar.aviary is intimate, whisky-minded and quietly confident. No need to shout, no need to overcomplicate things — just carefully crafted, flavourful drinks in a tiny space that feels almost like the opposite of the enormous industrial city outside. Sometimes the smaller stops in between are exactly what make a journey interesting. The new story is now on Barstalker. 🥃 #seriousbarstalking #Ulsan #UlsanBars #KoreanCocktails #koreanbarscene @attadrink
Some bars you discover. Others you return to. Almo Some bars you discover. Others you return to. Almost one year later, I’m back @makezero.bar in Busan — and once again reminded why this is one of those places I keep coming back to. This time, I caught the last days of the summer menu. Seasonal ingredients, quiet creativity, beautifully balanced drinks — always rooted in that wonderful Make Zero philosophy: from nature to glass. And perfect timing, because the autumn menu arrives next week. A beautiful bar, warm hospitality and a place that never needs to shout to leave an impression. If you’re drinking your way through Busan, Make Zero should not be missed. 🍸 My full story about Make Zero on barstalker.de . . #bartenderslife #seriousbarstalking #BusanBars #KoreanCocktailCulture #mixology
Slow down. Have a drink. Listen. 🎶🍸 @slomo.hifi.ba Slow down. Have a drink. Listen. 🎶🍸 @slomo.hifi.bar in HafenCity, vinyl takes centre stage — so much so that even the cocktail shaker stays quiet. Pre-batched drinks, serious sound and Japanese listening-bar inspiration. At Nick & Nora in Hamburg, I came for the cocktail At Nick & Nora in Hamburg, I came for the cocktails, vinyl and beautiful atmosphere — and found something I didn’t expect: Mohngeist, created with Freimeisterkollektiv, sitting on the back bar. One discovery turned into a conversation, a very personal cocktail and an evening to remember. Sometimes the best bar stories aren’t the ones you plan. Some bars sit on your list for far too long. Barte Some bars sit on your list for far too long. Bartender friends kept telling me: “You’ll love Bā Nomu.” They were right. Bold East-meets-West flavours, a wonderfully low counter made for conversation, and warm hospitality that made me stay longer than planned. My favourite? The beautifully fragrant Sake House Sour. I should have listened sooner. 🍸 More about Bā Nomu and my Hamburg bar adventures on barstalker.de | link in bio . . #seriousbarstalking #hamburgbars #CocktailCulture #bartenderslife #bestbars @ba.nomu
