Fotobattle – Mobile versus Pro-Camera

The pictures on my website are almost exclusively taken by me. This isn’t always easy with the atmospheric lighting in bars. The lighting conditions are challenging, and I am always looking for small light sources to stage drinks attractively. My pictures are mostly good, but often I think to myself that they could be much better with a professional camera. Is it worth bloggers or Instagrammers using a professional camera?

Well, I dared voice the comparison and started a photo battle. Markus Fahs is a photo technician and photographer in Berlin and Brandenburg and presents videos on the topic of photographic technology and photography on his Youtube channel. Courageously, we both left our own comfort zone. I ventured out of the darkness of the bar into the bright spotlights in front of the camera. Markus left his studio and accompanied me to Stairs Bar.

In this video we make the comparison: My phone, an iPhone 8 Plus, up against Markus’s professional camera, a Nikon D5. The video is only available in German but sometimes pictures speak more than words.
